Diet season

Although we have bad weather everyone is thinking about summer, beach, bikinis and good shape.
Some people I know have started a diet, others started exercising more and the more radical and looking-for-faster-results ones are taking diet pills that work, at least they think they work. Without a proper diet together with some exercise I have my doubts that diet pills will work.

I'm underweight so I'm trying to gain some weight to be ready for summer. What a contradiction, don't you think?

Where is spring?

Oh gosh...where is Spring?
We have been having a lot of rain lately, doesn't look like Spring season at all. At the weekend we can't go to the park or to take a walk due to the bad weather and it's getting really tough. We spend the week working and when the weekend arrives we have to run away from the rain. Maybe I should check on Wilmington real estate and look for a good spot with good weather. :)

Gps tracking used in kids control

Lately a lot has been said about children safety. Are schools safe enough? Is school able to control the arrival and departure of the children? Everyone know this is difficult to accomplish. At a certain age children have the parents authorization to leave school and walk home by themselves. Do they go straight home? That's a good question.

How can parents control their kids? Well gps tracking incorporated in cell phones is an option, but then another question pop up: are we violating our kids privacy?

My personal opinion is: if we are controlling them is because there is a strong reason. If they are missing school classes to go home earlier than this is a good option to put some pressure on them. If we are afraid of their security because they have to walk through a danger neighborhood while walking home, a GPS tracking can tell us they stropped on the way but can we save them from someone danger? I don't think so.

A question of ...hair cut

Yesterday I went to the post office and I was asked for some identification: identity card, driving license or passport. I don't have Passport ( I never left needed one) so I showed my Driving License. I updated it when I bought this house, 8 years ago, I had short hair and... I was younger. The lady that was attending me told me I had to update the picture because I had long hair now. What the h*** can't I have the haircut I want? The hair grows...

Cell phone services at the best price

I've been going through cellphone services and prices from several companies providing the cell phone service. I wanted to find a package that allows me to have free SMS messages and low cost in calls. I ended up finding one but to change to another company I need an unlocked phone once the one my son has is locked and can only be used by one company. Unlocking a cell phone costs money and a new one even more, so for now I have to lock for the best package inside the company we are signed to.

Pocket Watch found during closet clean up

Last weekend I make a closet clean up and some old clothes ended up in the garbage bin. While I was cleaning I discovered a forgotten jewelry box with some old silver rings and ear rings, most of them from my mothers and that completely unfashionable. However I found a curious item, an old pocket watch that belonged to my father, I really didn't remember having it at home. There is still one closet to clean up, let's see what I'm going to find there.

Anxiety and bad news don't match

Lately I've been avoiding to watch the news because there are only bad news. Mortgages rates keep rising up, Dollar vs Euro values keep getting worse, terrorists attacks, wife that murders husband to win the insurance money, rapes, murders, robberies, known actors and actresses, some of them kids idols going into drug rehab, carjacking, and many other news. Suffering from anxiety makes me stay away from this type of news. Why should I get anxious when I can prevent it?

This blog is still alive

Due to a very busy working life, lately I haven't updated this blog as much as I wanted. Although most of my posts here are paid, Google gave me a Page Rank of 2 so they must have change their algorithm or they are looking into paid posts in a different way.

Although most posts have special keywords, all posts I write are related to my life and they tell true facts. I more determined to work on my own domains and hosted blogs but this blog is still alive.
